Accessibility statement for Lucida Medical’s website and Pi™ software services

This accessibility statement applies to Lucida Medical’s website (https://lucidamedical.com) and to our Pi™ software’s web-based user interface.

The website allows users to find out about Lucida Medical. The Pi™ software is intended for use by healthcare professionals to support the diagnosis of cancer. Please note that Lucida Medical is not a public body and our Pi™ software is not intended for use by members of the public, patients or other health or social care service users.

These services are run by Lucida Medical Ltd or our customers or partners. We want as many people as possible to be able to use these services. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to content using a screen reader.

We’ve also made the relevant pages of the website as simple as possible to understand.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of the website and our Pi™ services are not fully accessible:

  • the website is primarily intended for healthcare professionals, not general users, so individuals without medical training may find these difficult to understand, whether they have problems with accessibility or not
  • in some places, you cannot modify the line height or spacing of text
  • some graphical elements that are intended for branding do not have accessible alternatives but these are not required to understand the content of the page
  • some PDF documents may not be not fully accessible to screen reader software
  • live video streams do not have captions
  • you may not be able to skip to the main content when using some screen readers
  • there’s a limit to how far you can magnify the map on some pages with all elements remaining visible, but you can still see the most important parts of the information
  • Pi™ user interface pages intended for use by healthcare professionals have to be able to show a full set of information on one screen, which does not work at very high zoom levels so may require a large monitor such as radiologists use in their normal clinical practice.

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard. The home page (https://lucidamedical.com) had an accessibility score of 90/100 and passed 42 of 49 tests when tested on 11 April 2026, which is considered good.

This website and the Pi™ services are partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed above in the section “How accessible this website is” and set out below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some branding elements do not meet the minimum contrast ratio thresholds so might be more difficult for some visually impaired users to interpret
  • Not all page text is contained by landmarks, and the home page does not have a single main landmark, which may affect some screen readers
  • Some heading levels do not follow in sequence
  • Some link text may not be easy to read for visually impaired users
  • Videos do not have automatic captions
  • Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information.

These problems occur due to limitations with the software that we use to design the website and the way that the branding and content was developed.

We plan to address these problems in our next website update by April 2027. When we publish new content we’ll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
